I do lots of marine field work (fishing and tagging of large animals), bushwalking, kayaking, and other sports. I find this watch great. Very light, easy to read, and takes a beating. One of the best features is the fact there are no spring loaded pins holding the strap to the watch body. The watch body is one piece with slits in either side, so the single nylon band strap slides behind it. If I’m hanging over the side of a boat, I don’t need to worry about knocking it, breaking a thin pin, and losing my watch in the ocean (as my friends have done with other watches). I’ve beaten on the Bertucci for about 18 months. The paint has scraped off the buckle clasp on it as others have commented. So what. It’s under your wrist and it’s advertised as a field watch.
